What’s A Lugger?

If you’re like a lot of other people and think “Huh?” when  you hear the word “Lugger”, we’ve got you covered!

Welcome to Luggers 101, a fun and friendly crash course about what a Lugger is and how it’s used.  After scrolling through this page, you’ll be officially “in the know”.   :-)

Now for some examples of ways to use Luggers (but really, the possibilities are ENDLESS!):

Commuting to work or school on your bike! Carry your lunch, books, computer, clothes and whatever else you need to do your best work!

Grocery shopping or running other local errands! Take your luggers into the store, then skip the bags at the checkout counter and use your luggers like a reusable shopping bag!  After you’ve done your shopping,  you can ride home knowing you’re helping to cut down on vehicle emissions by riding your bike and cut down on plastic waste by using your handy luggers!

Going to the park on a picnic lunch, to a friend’s house to play games, to the gym to exercise, to a craft fair, etc.! Use Luggers like a backpack, shoulder bag, suitcase, briefcase, shopping bag, duffle bag, gym bag, or any other carrying case you need.  Whatever you want to take along – a football, some running shoes, snacks, books, baby toys, pet toys, laptop,  camera, a change of clothes, homework or project materials, anything! – just stick it in a Lugger, and off you go!

Taking an extended bike ride (otherwise known as a “bike tour”)! If you’ve never done anything like this, relax – you don’t have to camp out every night, forego showering, and only eat peanut butter and bagels until you get home.  You can stay at a hotel or a friend’s house.  You can eat in a restaurant.  And you are welcome to shower as much as  you want!  After all, it’s YOUR trip!  We tried a 2-day bicycle trip a few years ago just to see what it was like, and we LOVED it!  We loved it so much, we took another trip and biked all the way across the USA!

No matter what kind of trip you take, Luggers will act like your suitcases to help you carry everything you need.  (Toiletries, clothes, entertainment, technology, spare bike parts and tools, cooking supplies, journals, postcards, souvenirs, maps, food, and anything else you like!)  Just pack them up, put them on your bike, and start pedaling!

I can’t find on your website whether the $80.00 price is for 1 or a pair of luggers.

Hi Dave; good to hear from you! In answer to your question, $80 is the price for one Lugger, not a pair. Let us know if you have any other questions. Ride on!
